When it comes to the trucking industry we are very specific and targeted in our approach. We understand most trucking fleets of over 500-600 trucks are self insured our sweet spot are trucks in the 10-500 range. Fleets with 100+ trucks are our ideal targeted fleet.

Fleets who have great CSA scores, we can combine their policies to other fleets and offer a larger savings to smaller fleets if they belong to a trucking captive policy. As long as all fleets comply they ALL recieve a great savings on their premiums.

Business Venture Research

1.What your original goal was for this course.

My goal for this course was to gain understanding of the best practices for Business Venture Research. As I want to run and operate multiple business in my lifetime I want to learn how to evaluate perform proper steps in research and help me determine which risks are better than others. I currently have one business that I am starting but if I am trying to become a master at starting and operating business this is a crucial step in my journey.

2.How the goal was met by the course.

The information and the materials that I read and watched have made me danerous in my approach and I feel confident because I learned what types of research works best in different situations. Also what things we learned so much about business that failed and some of there downfalls while at the peak of their businesses. Zirtual is a company that is still around today but the founder didn’t have a proper money team and she lost everything over night. She laid over 400 people via email, she grew too quickly, and couldn’t sustain her current pace.

3.What you learned from this course. Mention at least 4 research resources you found useful.

I found the different research for different types of risk extremely useful then their is Primary Research, Secondary Research, Quantitative, and Qualitative are all great forms and provide different data research.

4.How you will apply the material learned in the course personally or professionally.

I have used all the information given in this course in the business start-up process and it is all verification for myself that I was looking for the right things and also have the right criteria for businesses that I was researching.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

2.How the goal was met by the course.

The course gave me the tools that I need to learn how to think and develop processes for creating Innovation in the product or service process. We discussed our WHY and Where good ideas come from. My favorite was Design thinking and it gave me a better idea on how that concept resignates with so many ground breaking companies. The amount of effort and resources companies put into becoming a design thinking orgnaization always putting customer first in the design and giving customers not only what they want but what they NEED.

3.What you learned from this course.

I talked a lot what I have learned in the previous couple questions but I learned about my personal Why, design thinking, and about Empathy maps.

4.How you will apply the material learned in the course personally or professionally.

I found the Design Thinking topic the most interesting and the most innovative thinkg that I learned in this course. I will use this mindeset and culture in my business/ businesses to cultivate an environment for growth and customer satisfaction.

Leadership Mindset

With our second week coming to an end in this first Mastery Class we discuss alot of new things. One of the first things I learned were the different Behaviourist Theories vs the Functional theories. We discussed a lot of different Questions like:

Are leaders born or bred?
What’s the difference between responsibility vs accountability?
What is leadership?

So I was prepared when I was approached with this question by a great Regional Sales Manager.

One of my sales reps asked about a leadership position that was available and if I personally thought he was ready to make this Management role. We discussed a couple different things. I wanted to understand his leadership style and I walked him through different scenarios to understand how he would handle it.

We had an excellent conversation about how he would report this back to me and handle different responsibilities and I was extremely impressed by his answers. He was prepared and handled these questions with confidence and extreme poise. This was an impromptu meeting and I was proud. As customer centric, and employee centric organization we always look for leaders we can mold. Duplicate with in our organization is always extremely important and I personally believe we found our next leader ready to take charge.

With the information I was given in this last two weeks I was able to identify a future leader within my organization.
